Alistair King is a multidisciplinary designer and illustrator who recently graduated with an MA in Product Design (Distinction) from Birmingham City University.
Currently working full-time as a Graphic Designer for Under The Hammer, a UK property auction network. Alistair's portfolio contains a combination of personal, professional, and university projects. - Under The HammerBelow shows design and marketing I have created for UK property auction network, Under The Hammer. Being part of a pressured, high energy and sales driven environment gives me the responsibility of designing impactful material to entice buyers, sellers and estate agents. More specifically, I work on print and digital advertising, email templates, social media, animation, powerpoint presentations and web design. - A Poster in a DayThe brief was to use part of an article to create a poster in a day. I felt the quote that best represented the text was 'Second fucking place again'; therefore I linked the words with a running track and added emphasis on 'Again' by placing it at the bottom to depict finishing below others. As well as a polyurethane (running track surface) texture overlay.
- Dinner DiceBrief: Create a product for a meal environment that stimulates the five senses; as well as challenge the traditional dinning experience by experimenting with food consumption, user experience and social interaction. Concept: Condiments are often overlooked so my idea was to create a roulette inspired concept to promote diner interaction and fun when applying condiments to food. - Lara Bells Leather Care KitBrief: Create a brand/product using your Pornstar name (first pets name and childhood address) in a format of your choice. Concept: I have always been interested in leather products and there sustainability, therefore I wanted to design a leather care kit that combines a luxuries aesthetic with eco-friendly materials. - Social GlobeBrief: Create a product that can be used as an extension of a users mobile phone, as a result helping decrease screen time and improve personal well-being.
