I am a 23 year old male designer from Woking with a Graphic Design Degree from the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB). Before my degree I did an art foundation course at Central St Martins (CSM). There I was quickly exposed to the opportunities that London had to offer. I liked it but at that time but I hadn't particularly warmed to London as much as I wanted to. Growing up in an area with a lot of green and woodland made the concrete fortress that is London seem a little off putting which left me with no intension of continuing my degree there - my opinion of London however, does change but I'll get to that later... Luckily I had already visited the Arts University Bournemouth and fell in love with the small community of ambitious creatives from around the country, Europe and even Asia! Not only that but AUBs campus was modern, youthful and stylish and from my perspective as someone who appreciates good architecture and interior design, It was a big selling point for me.
My three fantastic years at AUB taught me some really important lessons. How to collaborate with other creatives, how to keep an open mind when approaching a design brief, how to fall in love with the creative process and finally how to find my specific creative niche.
Upon realising my niche, It started to all make sense, and I began to visualise what kind of designer I wanted to be and how I might achieve it. It became blatantly obvious to me that I want to be designing peoples living and working environments.

Blue Water International is a luxury yacht broker/ crew recruitment company. Whilst seeking a job on a boat I over heard some of the directors talking about how they needed a graphic designer to re-design a few pages on their website, along with matching business cards, leaflets and contract documents. I popped my head around the door, apologised for listening in and claimed I was the man for the job. I showed them some work there and then and they offered to me 3 weeks of work on the spot.

Whilst studying at university, I became friends with one of the owners of a music event who gave me the job of designing the promotional graphics and advertisements for upcoming events. This involved designing for facebook pages and events and also posters to be stuck up around the two universities. I did this for 4 months.
