Why am I looking to leave such a new job? This is a brand new role that has not, unfortunately, provided me with the duties, culture or training and development opportunities I believed it would. I am seeking a full-time, fast-paced position in a dynamic and creative company, with events and operations management responsibilities alongside HR or administrative tasks. This role has proven to be predominantly PA and accounts administration duties. In part, I feel this is due to the fact it was advertised as part-time but the founder crafted a full-time position for me. Perhaps, due to its size (small start-up), there just isn't the role I'm looking for.

I am a recent graduate of Goldsmiths University of London where I completed my BA (Hons) degree (2:1) in English Literature and Creative Writing. I selected to specialise in poetry for my final portfolio which was undertaken alongside my chosen final year modules in Caribbean Women Writers; Postcolonial Literatures in English; Writing, Gender and Anxiety, and Contemporary African Migrant Literature & Film: Mediating Human Rights. Alongside my 16 piece poetry portfolio, I submitted a 4,000 critical reflection meditating on the contemporary poetic landscape, my creative practice and sources of influence and inspiration. I focussed on discussing the proximity of visual arts and poetry, examining the form of my own work and that of practising artists and poets. I have chosen texts and topics throughout my studies which allow for the exploration of that connection between self and community, self and landscape and self and language.
