About me
I’m a student from MSc HCI-E course in University College London (expected to graduate on 09/2015) and I have a multidisciplinary design background in my undergraduate education. Therefore, I have a skill set of the mixture of design and human-computer interaction (include Ergonomics). For example, I could work with Adobe Creative Suite professionally, but I also know how to code web application with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Apart from these general skills, I have been doing usability research, testing and evaluation in both my master degree and part-time jobs.
I used to work in various digital design companies or studios as an intern. The field I worked and designed for include multi-touch screen game or application in science museum, ecommerce website, responsive website for companies or organisations. Most of the time I worked with technicians, producers and developers in these projects as a designer, but sometimes I did cross-over between the role of designer and developer because of my skill set. I am confident on my both communicating and professional skills as people who work with me always said that I am organised and passionate in work. I also did two personal projects about the applications on mobile and Google Glass. Although they are not like the commercial projects I have done before, I still think that they are valuable in a innovative way.
I love to make some work with Arduino in my leisure time. I’m also interested all kinds of research, literature and art work about digital age especially artificial intelligence relevant. The recent days I start to learn Ruby on Rails and Algorithm on my own. Although sometimes the process of self-taught could be quite frustrated and challenging, I still recognised that it is very fascinating to be an independent problem solver in either study or life.
Projects
- Avant Garde DanceThis is a website of a dance group in London. In this project, my responsibility is to prototype the parallax scrolling effect on home page and debug rest pages of the site. I optimised the HTML5 embedded videos and sound control in the front page. The challenge in this project is to test HTML5 video across all platforms.
- Colchester Castle Museum"Spiral produced inter actives, projections and immersive show about Boudica." In this project, I did the UI and UX research and initial designs as a design intern. The challenge in this project is to display multi objects, large amount of text and their details on limited screen space. These applications are used to provide supplementary information and engage audience to look closer to the historical pieces in Colchester Castle Museum.
