I am an ambitious and innovative copywriter and editor with a keen eye for detail on the hunt for a high-reaching agency or brand with whom I can create innovative ideas and compelling copy. At Liz Earle and The Body Shop International, I have created content for worldwide events across digital, email, online and in-store platforms. Whilst working towards my degree, I did a stint in the journalism industry as Features Editor for The Tab Birmingham as well as gaining experience with agencies such as McCann, WPP, Redwood London and Condé Nast Publications.
I manage all copy for essentials and colour collections, producing accurate content for both web, email and direct mail to strict and frequent deadlines for the UK, ROI and US. I also oversee all packaging copywriting and proofing, working with creative and brand teams to produce and edit copy, ensuring it meets premium standards before final sign off. Other responsibilities include working closely with the social media team to plan, manage and proof all content for high profile campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
I held the reins of the features team, creating unique, relevant ideas for attention-grabbing articles. My exquisite written and communication skills allowed me to consistently allocate workloads to the features team whilst writing, editing and publishing quality content for a diverse online audience.
I wrote all online entries for products and website pages, creating striking SEO-optimised copy for a diverse online audience. I also wrote copy for in-store events, leaflets and editorial-style email campaigns to engage with new and existing customers while implementing an innovative and dynamic marketing strategy. Working with the legal team to ensure that copy strictly adhered to ASA guidelines, I edited and reviewed content sent from the buying teams and external sources to make sure it was ‘on brand’ and reflected the brand tone of voice.
Working on Fabric Property Magazine, I researched and produced a range of articles for both print and web. I was also responsible for communicating with relevant PR companies to produce cutting-edge copy for exclusive beauty, fashion and lifestyle offers and promotions. Completion of first internship resulted in returning for a second as contributing editor.
I worked with account executives on clients such as Frosty Jacks, Fruittella and Pukka Pies. Here, I researched, wrote and proofread content for social media and press releases in addition to writing, presenting and delivering concepts and strategies for communications via Twitter and Facebook.
I researched and wrote copy that focused on beauty and lifestyle trends for forthcoming issues of the Boots in-store magazine. My multi-channel skills were a key asset in helping to increase online traffic by creating a Facebook page for the Boots Mother and Baby Club. I also reflected brand style and tone of voice while writing content for the Co-op group.
Working as a features intern at GQ Magazine, I produced material for features content, writing copy for everything from men’s grooming to fashion and gadgets. I also wrote book and film reviews - all to extremely tight deadlines.
