Joining in the midst of a busy production period I had to hit the ground running . I was able to use to my previous knowledge and experience to organise and run castings alongside booking crew and accommodation. I create and send call sheets for all cast and crew and work closely with the Executive and Senior Producer to make sure shoots would run smoothly. I also have financial obligations , such as keeping track of budget costs for jobs and making sure PO numbers are sent for invoices.I am able to work efficiently both on set and in an office.
Having joined as a Runner I progressed to a Production Assistant .Tasks included organising transportation and accommodation, financial administration as well as attending shoots and liaising with crew and cast. With my knowledge of kit , I made sure it was kept in check, and would be asked to handle it on location when needed.Working on the company's internal software for budgeting and managing projects I became confident with raising PO's and help with invoices for freelancers and suppliers. Working closely with Google I would be based in their office and work across several of their projects. I understand the need for confidentiality and the pressures of working within a global company.
Working in a large commercial video and photographic studio, I was responsible for preparing, ordering and maintaining material for individual shoots. I am able to carry out multiple tasks and demands at the same time. I use my common sense to prioritise jobs and deal with the most pressing first. I have been able to gain a wider knowledge of the Commercial, video and photographic industry and develop my own skills and experience.
