- Amber MagazineAmber Magazine is a new project created by Amber Schormans in order to create innovative, positive and diverse representations of people, specifically women. In addition to publicising individual talent in multiple forms, to showcase a new wave of art and way of working. Amber Magazines purpose is to inspire and bring people together in a new type of fashion magazine. In addition to combatting issues such as body confidence, opening the conversation on topics such as mental health and exploring the positivity in movements such as feminism. Often through challenging the idea of 'perfection' in some current modes of fashion and media, that can cause low self-esteem and confidence. www.ambermagazine.co.uk

During my time as a freelance photographer I have taken on various jobs and roles that have influenced my contemporary ideas and increased my skill set.
These include:
¥ Creating my own magazine, Amber Magazine, becoming the photographer, writer and editor. This involved balancing my time well with a lot of collaboration, research and work. Gaining valuable skills that include attention to detail, networking, time management, writing, social media and management.
¥ Organising and photographing a group diversity photoshoot in London involving 8 models, 3 assistants and a videographer. A documentary about myself, Amber Magazine and this photoshoot has been made and published by a successful blogger.
¥ Photographing the 2017 ARU graduate fashion show. Working within a group of photographers we documented the day with back stage images along with the final show. Working in a fast-paced environment with often challenging and changing lighting scenarios.
¥ Volunteer social media manager for Lux-Aura exhibition, our graduate exhibition which will be exhibited through Free Range at the Old Truman Brewery in London. This has taught me leadership skills and key focussed ways to promote through social media.
¥ Photographing various designers work, collaborating with a variety of different creative people gave me an insight into professionalism in teams and reaching a positive, joint outcome with multiple influences.
