After completing a 6-month freelance contract with Professor Puzzle, Ambreen joined the company on a permanent basis. Key responsibilities include: Create an archive of categorised bank of trivia for fast, accurate and efficient multi-use purpose Write clear, engaging pack and product copy in an appropriate tone of voice for own brand and retailer specific products, e.g. M&S, Sainsbury’s, Menkind, TJ Maxx etc. Create content and gameplay for quizzes, puzzles and games for US & UK markets Work closely with the product development team, brainstorm NPD and develop ideas from initial concept to fully-formed, market-ready product Proofread pack and product artwork to ensure it is 100% accurate prior to production Check and approve artwork and product at pre-mass and pre-ship stages Research information and write new trivia questions and answers Ensure factual accuracy of all trivia questions and answers

4-month contract to develop copy and co-ordinate artwork approval for several brands including Sylvanian Families, Plasticine, Etch-A-Sketch, Hello Kitty, Ben 10 Alien Force, Thomas & Friends and Disney. Predominantly briefing design agencies and copywriting character storylines, product names, straplines, packaging and instructions.
Monopoly – bringing Mr Monopoly alive by writing audio scripts to be used in live products and transforming Monopoly rules from a black and white text-only single sheet to a colour booklet with illustrations. Trivial Pursuit – ensuring global consistency by providing detailed briefs to European card writers, negotiating with UK card writer during writing process, approving UK card copy for appropriateness, accuracy, repetition and tone of voice. Cluedo – writing an audio script for a Cluedo CD and advising on its sound studio recording. Licensing – ensuring the editorial tone of voice for licenses (Disney Princesses, The Simpsons, Toy Story etc.) applied to Hasbro brands work well, liaising with licensors on editorial content and approval. Project management – briefing artworkers on instructions layout/style/format, briefing editorial projects to internal and external writers and then editing copy supplied, tracking project progress, planning and maintaining production schedules. Localisation – managing Hasbro’s European localisation process, briefing translators and liaising with them during the translation process, checking format/length of translated copy, coordinating between European Trivial Pursuit card writers and Hasbro staff. Teamwork – managing the workload and personal development of three copywriters and a proofreader, keeping a motivated and efficient team.
