Design has a power to develop differently in every project, never staying repetitive and constantly requiring expansion on culture and research on ideas within a creative process. I find all design avenues are related and share this fact, but I especially like graphic design for its omnipresence and diversity, as it’s presence covers nearly everywhere today.
Working with a market leading company, creating customer-focused, on-brand marketing content for print and web. Main tasks Involve generating graphics to promote products that create a buzz with customers. This includes creating; product sheets, brochures, photography, social media, showroom displays and graphics, promotional materials and exhibitions.
Short Listed for the Creative Conscience Awards for my film ‘It’s Only a Game’. My subject matter was toxic masculinity within toxic gaming. My film reveals and exposes the extreme language used by online gamers. My intention was not to censor out any of the offending language from the recordings, as the person originally hearing the abusive words would not have been able to do so either.
Explaining Anxiety, An Illustrated Book, is a visual guide I created to help better express the symptoms and feelings that people feel when anxious. Through having conversations with people about anxiety, I realised how difficult it was to describe. I started to illustrate the way people narrated their anxiety to me which I then produced into a eco friendly paper publication to help others who do not suffer, better understand a subject matter that is not widely understood yet.
Vintage publishers, part of Penguin Random House, collaborated with a selection of designers from Kingston to create a series of posters for the book On Tyranny by Timothy Snyder. I interpreted and designed the poster for chapter 5. The posters went on display as part of an installation on Leonard Street, East London from 27 March – 3 April.
Working with the chief executive in web design and advertisement at Yahoo in London. This involved collaborating with the creative team to create online newsletters for up and coming films. My job involved creating web banners advertising the Smurfs movie.
My customer wanted simple yet sophisticated branding, including a logo for the new boutique gift shop in Putney Bridge. This project also included photographing the shop and products for the owners Instagram and social media accounts.
Working for Kingston University as a project team member for Broadening Horizons. Working for the SME Peldon Rose, investigating current and future technologies to improve their office space. We constructed a full interactive report for the company as well as a final presentation of our findings which they are now looking to implement to their office in the next year.
