Amir El-Shenawy is an Egyptian filmmaker born in Cairo in 1991. He has worked extensively as a freelance director, and directed documentaries for major Cairo based organizations.
El-Shenawy worked as an assistant director in “Clash”, an Egyptian feature film premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2016, and directed by Mohamed Diab. El- Shenawy is currently in the post-production of his first documentary feature “Kilo 64” to be released in 2017. Amir currently lives in London as he is doing MA Screen Documentary at Goldsmiths University.
