And Beyond is a research, education and collaboration lab that works to reimagine different ways of doing + being. We work collaboratively with partners, clients and communities to explore the big questions, forming innovative ecosystems around projects and ideas that drive society forward. We work through a post-colonial lens at the intersection of psychology, systems and futures thinking to: 1) dismantle the psychological and structural barriers that disconnect us; 2) inclusively reimagine and design alternate systems and supporting structures that enable us to thrive. The Drop is a podcast and storytelling platform that investigates the key issues of our time, through the lenses of fashion, design, and creativity. I am responsible for story production and editing from idea generation, story research and guest outreach, to conducting interviews and developing the narrative. The Drop also conducts educational workshops with brands and academia.
Research explored the factors influencing our maintenance of the dominant human narrative, through highlighting the value misalignment and the abandonment of the Self under our current economic systems, within the fashion industry context. Specialising in creating the conditions for aliveness, this research cast a light on the narrow values activated within this constricted context and provided a space for participants to reimagine alternate futures with their full Self’s values at the heart. This research was highly exploratory in method, encompassing speculative design, art, and simple conversations to elicit a psychological understanding of our systemic issues as well as the environments which make us come alive. Happy to discuss this research further.
Having studied all aspects of traditional business within the narrow confines of our flawed economic system, I use this understanding to co-create new, necessary approaches for our changing world. Awarded the Dean's Commendation for Outstanding Achievement.
