With a background in design and initial experience in brand strategy, I bridge the gap between strategic thinking and creative doing. Paired with a curiosity for people and what makes them tick, I get most excited when strategic thinking leads on to create clear platforms that guide brand behaviour but also act as springboards for effective, engaging design that has the potential to shape cultures. I’m a clear communicator, a collaborative worker and a keen learner.
Article are a small brand design agency based in East London. They mainly work across three sectors; social, sports and start-ups, with clients including Brentford FC, TrueUp and Chance to Shine. Whilst I have provided support across a range of projects, I have been most heavily involved in a public sector rebrand. My experience at Article has allowed me to challenge traditional brand frameworks, whilst learning how to work in an agile way.
DesignStudio work with brands who recognise the value of being design-led in the global economy. Their clients include Airbnb, Deliveroo, LendInvest, Nutmeg and HEAD. venturethree are a global brand consultancy that work with brave organisations to create value beyond growth. Their clients include Sky, Now TV, The UN, Penguin Random House, Just Eat, TransferWise and many more. My role at venturethree encompassed research, insight and strategy. During my time here, I completed various market audits for a wide variety of brands, ranging from fintech start-ups to global corporations. I have gained experience in working alongside dedicated research partners and completing ethnographic research and I also assisted in in-depth stakeholder interviews and workshops. I have become proficient in presenting research in order to equip teams. My background in design means that I can communicate especially well to creatives, and I really enjoy presenting the information in creative and engaging ways to inspire and excite. My role also consisted of analysing research to unearth insights and aid insight driven creativity. I worked alongside the Senior Strategists and used the insights to create brand platforms that include positioning, purpose, principles and personality. I also gained experience in media channel planning, as well as business strategy and stakeholder engagement.
I was chosen to represent my university on this programme. Design Academy, designed by Design Council, and run by design industry experts, delivers education and skills to develop today’s students into the design leaders and change-makers of tomorrow.
