Amy McHugh is a textile designer, creating prints and surface designs for interiors. Amy’s inspiration is often drawn from simple shapes, forms and ideas that can be translated into digital & hand printed fabrics. She possesses a confidence in her use of colour, creating palettes that provide a contemporary feel whilst retaining a luxury element. Her designs are built on bold hand drawn and collage methods, that form innovative outcomes. Amy also has a keen passion for combining traditional techniques and modern technologies, working with laser, digital printing and silk screen printing. Amy’s tenacity to explore combinations of techniques, surface qualities and colour means she has established a strong set of skills, which are demonstrated in every aspect of her designs.
