Student Placement

This placement involved researching and presenting objects from the Museum’s “Ancient Rome” collection to a class of fourth year secondary school pupils from Drumchapel High School. The aim of this placement was to generate enthusiasm in younger generations for visiting art galleries and museums, something I was successful in doing based upon the surveys filled out by the pupils following my two sessions with them. This placement also taught me, in particular, how to handle precious objects and carry out risk assessment tests.
