About me
Amy Moffat is freelance art director and illustrator. Through her independent studio practice she creates visual identities, illustrations for print and web, publications and sets for events and print. Amy is currently publishing Junko, an annual journal responding to place. Each year Junko heads to a different region of the world, significant for its unique geography and distinctive creative communities. Exploring the natural and urban landscapes, stopping off along the way to meet the artists and designers defining the visual scene of their place, Junko looks at the relationship between where artists make and how it effects their creative practices. . Amy received the Saatchi New Sensations finalist award (2008) on graduating with a Fine Art degree from Wimbledon School of Art. She has also received, and been shortlisted for, a number of art prizes since graduating including Landmark Painting Prize, Core Open and the Marmite Prize.. As a Set Assistant I have been fortunate to work with some of the most prolific and talented Set Designers and Art Directors in London and Los Angeles, enjoying the great learning experiences that come with such a privilege. These experiences, as well as my background in visual arts as a sculptor and painter, have enabled me to enjoy the experiences of designing and making fun, well made and thoughtful sets for editorials, posters, and promotional materials for my clients. I am stimulated by pattern, texture, colour and material and enjoy a hands on approach to creative briefs. I also continue to exhibit my sculptures and paintings across the UK.

Free Range Design & BrandingBrand identity design and artwork for 2015's Free Range shows at The Truman brewery, London.
  • Junko
JunkoJunko is an annual print publication that travels to a new region of the world with each issue to explore and document the landscapes. Along the way we meet and interview artists and designers defining the visual arts scene of their place. The aim is to understand how our environments affect our creative decisions and lifestyles. I founded the magazine in 2015, conduct the research and interviews, supply photography and editorial content and lead art direction. I also commission artists who contribute to the issues.
