Sales is an important skill that is learnt daily as well as taught at the Harrods' Sales Academy. I have also been trained in clienteling and customer service and work with customers to select suitable pieces from the collection and helping them with their styling needs. I also assist the Max Mara team with visual merchandising and keep them up to date with sales reports and customer feedback. Organisation of the stockroom, stock taking and overseeing RTVs (return to vendor) are additional skills learnt in this role.
Showroom Assistant

I worked mainly with the Marina Rindaldi brands (Marina Rinaldi, Elegante, Voyage, Town, Sport and Persona as well as the relevant Accessories for each of them) within the Max Mara showroom.
I had many responsibilities in this role while maintaining the showroom's high standard and helping with any tasks given by the Brand Managers or Showroom Manager.
Pushing forward new collections for each sales period and witnessing the different buying and merchandising strategies from various retailers. Organisation and time management were useful skills while working in the fast paced environment where we constantly prepared the collection pieces for multiple viewings. Caring for garments, checking communication from Italy to keep product changes and cancellations current. Packaging and labelling stock at the end of a season to be returned to headquarters in Italy as well as receiving the new collection pieces. Dressing models, styling looks chosen from the collection as well as key pieces. I assisted my brand manager with the input of sales orders, checking sell through figures from previous seasons and shadowed all of the buying meetings. Assisting the receptionist with any ad-hoc duties, storeroom organisation and welcoming clients.
