Developing documentary and ob doc shows for national and international channels. Duties include making, and building on, relationships with government bodies and established institutions, dealing with sensitive information and developing and designing treatments appropriate for certain pitches and channels.
My responsibilities included assisting with ob doc filming, organising release forms and couriers, assisting crew with kit including camera assisting and driving a large 8 seater for crew and contributors from location to location.
As Location Scout for Ethnew’s Ghost productions, I sourced a range of locations across Central and surrounding London to act as a number of locations for the feature production. Ghost is a horror, and the characters are all of a wealthy background so I had a certain aesthetic to adhere to and a budget to run parallel to that. My job involved finding the locations, contacting the appropriate people, arranging recce’s for myself and Head of Departments, presenting my findings to the Directorial team and arranging contracts to pin the final locations down. Essentially being the point of contact for crew and the location and ensuring both were happy.
As Production Assistant on this Bollywood feature film my role was to support the Production team to ensure the crew could get their job done efficiently and without interruption both on and off set. Responsibilities included: arranging details for the upcoming shoots including invoicing, troubleshooting, location scouting, striking set when wrapped, ensuring locations were appropriately protected, assisting art department and helping on set when needed.
As Development Researcher at the largest independent outside of London, I have developed shows from Specialist Factual to Factual Entertainment and Natural History. I work closely with Executive Producers to come up with new ideas, work the ideas up and write them coherently and engagingly into a treatment; for a range of clients including BBC, C4, C5, ITV, UKTV, Nat Geo, Netflix, Facebook, Smithsonian and more. I also have experience in casting, helping to establish access and camera operating for a number of diverse taster tapes. Since being at the company I have been the sole contributor to the company’s website and social media platforms making changes, updates and campaigns when necessary.
As Personal Assistant to the Head of International Production, Head of Wildlife, Head of Development and Head of Factual Entertainment I regularly booked travel, arranged meetings, dealt with sensitive and confidential content and managed day to day diaries. Alongside this I also work within the administration team to help with the daily running of the office.
As Admin Assistant I undertook a range of administrative tasks alongside assisting productions with a variety of needs. From invoicing and purchase orders to collecting visas from embassies, my tasks were often diverse and dynamic. I also covered for the technical/kit coordinator, managing the company’s camera kit and preparing it for shoots.
