About me
Born in Oporto, Portugal, Ana has a Master Degree in Art Market Management from ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon, during which she was presented with a unique opportunity of interdisciplinary specialization, simultaneously theoretical and practical on the field, matching the needs of a multifaceted professional area, which value is continuously growing. Bearing in mind the strong international component of this area and the importance of enhancing contacts with greater dimension markets, she had the opportunity of attending both theoretical and practical classes abroad at one of the most prestigious institution in the Art Markets' domain, the Sotheby’s Institute of Art, in London. Prior to this, she had spent three years majoring in Art, Conservation and Restoration at the Catholic University of Oporto (Portugal) where she was able to study Art on all its composition, both material and historical which gave her the opportunity to move forward with her academic path for a training that would allow her to start a career within the Art Market. Having always chosen the art field through her academic years, she has been improving her knowledge and deep love for art over the past years by pursuing a special interest in the contemporary art sector, and specially on the way the art market works these days. Apart from this, Ana has been developing some work has an artist agent since July 2014, with some Portuguese and Spanish artists, acting as the artists' personal representative, helping them to enhance and further their careers, from comprehensive career planning to complex contract negotiation.
