Taught classes of 40 - 50 young learners, aged 6 - 11. Maintained a positive working atmosphere and high level of engagement in classes, through successful classroom management.
Taught a class of 8 Vietnamese and Korean adults, focusing mainly on general English with an emphasis on Aviation English. Designed a curriculum and adapted materials to tailor the classes to the ability level of the specific set of students, ensuring each student was stretched as well as engaged in lessons.
Obtained a 1st Class Master of Chemistry degree from the University of Manchester. Studied a range of modules covering key concepts across modern chemistry, as well as non-chemistry modules in maths and economics. Designed and managed two research projects: the first aimed at the rational design of ultrahigh-sensitivity chemical sensors; the second aiming to develop a scalable method for the production of graphene. Maintained a dynamic approach to project management, overcoming unforeseen problems with synthetic procedure and project timeline. Gathered and analysed a wide range of data, presenting the findings in high quality written reports and verbal presentations. Worked efficiently and flexibly as part of diverse undergraduate teams, on 35+ experiments across 1st and 2nd year.
