- Stories That Matter: Video Interviews & DocsAs a filmmaker, I’m passionate about capturing the human experience through video interviews and documentaries. ● Studio shooting: Monitored a multi-camera set-up for shoots, rigged key and fill lights for different looks and styles using diffusion and negative fill techniques. Developed experience using green screen for post-production purposes such as animation.
● Location shooting: run and gun documentary practices on shoots on London and Dublin streets, at The National Theatre, photography studios and contributors’ houses.
● Pre-Production: Storyboarded and devised shot lists for narrative B-Roll concepts and sequences of all styles for trailers to help sell e-learning courses.
● Production: Directed on-screen talent and subjects of various ages, backgrounds and temperaments to achieve the correct tone for each video.
● Managed sound levels via mixer boards and through mic placement on subjects.
● Used different lenses for different styles and effects including macro lenses, telephoto, wide and vintage.
● Collaborated with other filmmakers to brainstorm creative ideas and help each other achieve intricate shots.
● Technical: Utilised multiple video delivery methods by shooting in 6K, 4K and 1080 (HD) and multiple frame
rates for slow motion (50fps → 120fps) for 25fps delivery
● DIT: Responsible for backing up daily footage to Raids and organised a data system that was easy to use and
operate by the entire team.
● Post-Production: Edited and coloured footage using Davinci Resolve.
● General: Lead presentations and trained other colleagues in new software.
