I began work on Sky Sports News as a sub-editor in 2014, working mostly on producing output for the rolling news channel. During this time I learnt the post-production side of the job and have since transitioned into an Editor role. This has allowed me to take promos and features from the ideas stage through production and editing as a solo project, streamlining the process.

Following the completion of a successful contract as sabbatical cover, I was retained as a freelancer working on Soccer Saturday. Having previously undertaken a number of roles in the show’s production, I also sought to develop an editing skill set which has enabled me to assist in a wide variety of areas on both Soccer Saturday and subsequently on Sky Sports News. My current role includes: • Produce and edit show opening sequences and promos • Assist reporters in producing features and interviews • Editing features for Soccer Specials • During live show responsible for cutting highlights from EFL leagues • Assisting with the creation of promotional elements for Twitter page • Driven significant increase in engagement and reach on Twitter • Working to tight SSN deadlines to create grabs, packages and wraps
