I write compelling copy and content for businesses, media companies, and PR and B2B agencies. With a long TV pitching career behind me, I understand the kind of copy that communicates clear concepts and sells ideas. I’ve worked for a multitude of clients on a huge range of projects - from ad scripts for major banks to serving as ‘Historical Consultant’ on big- budget TV dramas. I’ve written countless case-studies, articles, promotional pieces, web-pages, pamphlets and advertising scripts and consulted on branding and logos. I have recently widened my scope by taking on a fully ghost-written Biography, and I continue to explore new ideas and projects to develop my skills and experience.
Wrote and edited script for the 2018 Lovie Awards Ceremony, held in the BFI Southbank.
Responsible for all the written content on the UK FilmStruck platform – Including over 1000 film and bonus content synopses, weekly editorial ‘themes’ and ‘seasons’, and all UX webcopy. Worked in partnership with Marketing to define and develop the brand, tone of voice, and approach. Also supplied UX Copy for ‘Toonix’, an OTT platform for the Cartoon Network, and film synopses for TCM’s monthly schedules.
As part of a highly creative development team I was involved in several major commissions for feature-length documentaries for 'Discovery', 'The History Channel', 'BBC1' and 'Sky 3D' – in particular: “Flying Monsters 3D with David Attenborough" (1x90), "First Life with David Attenborough" (4x60), and "The Bachelor King" (1x90) with David Attenborough for Sky, and "Rome Unwrapped" (8x60) for National Geographic. I was also put in charge developing an independent cross-platform project - the interactive iPad App 'Timeshuffle', aiming to deliver geo-located documentary content to tourists and travellers. This involved managing designers and programmers, as well as commissioning bespoke CGI sequences and shooting and editing custom footage, delivering an interactive demo to bring to potential investors.
