I have been using Photoshop and Cinema 4D for over 7 years. I watch tutorials, read typography books, use Behance to keep my portfolio updated and make sure people and connecting with my work and progression. But i personally think one of the most important things working in design is how to deal with clients and design briefs. Before I moved to London I was living at home and working freelance expanding my clients across Manchester, London and the UK. I have worked with promoters, musicians, accountants, photographers, models. I have gained alot of experience learning from my own mistakes and theirs. I know how important it is to stick to a design brief but to add your own imagination because that’s why they came to me in the first place. Just working from my bedroom I had most artists in a certain genre of music and student night promoters coming to me to design their artwork, logos, flyers and social media. Given the right tools and direction and using my current eye for design and what looks good I believe I can work within a design team or company and input my ideas. I know my way around Photoshop, for retouching photographs, designing CD covers, flyers, posters, logos. Most of my work got sent to be printed as 1000s got printed and distributed around different cities and in certain shops around Manchester, so I have basic knowledge about printing, design templates.
