I have established trust, and lifelong working relationships, with influential contacts within the music and entertainment industry and in the marketing and PR industries in my current role at The Drum magazine. I understand digital and contemporary communications and am adept at building and developing social media platforms with content that both engages and stimulates dialogue with the audience. During my time as lead guitarist with the band Fatherson, I created and managed a vibrant social media profile for the band whilst on tour globally.
Alongside my job at The Drum I also musically direct and play in up and coming artist Lewis Capaldi's band, who is currently one of Spotiy's "Ones to watch" 2017 with over 15 million plays on his debut single.
At the Drum as part of The Drum Network team, I am responsible for ensuring a roster of over 150 clients, comprised of marketing, digital and PR agencies, are put on the map and marketed through copywriting editorial content, organising networking events and reinforcing this with a strong social media presence. I also manage The Drum Network's social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin) on a daily basis.
Touring globally with the band, playing shows to up to 20,000 people. Also helped create and manage a vibrant social profile for the band whilst on the road.
Sales and merchandising on the shop floor, as well as stock control and cost reporting throughout the 2 large stockrooms in the Glasgow Silverburn store.
