About me
Andy landed his first D&AD pencil before he’d landed his first job and aged just 21, and subsequently became D&AD's youngest ever judge. The diversity of his award winning work is testament to his permissive approach - from long form entertainment; design and AI to installations; product innovation and children’s books. Andy is a big exponent of the role creativity has to play in tackling societal and environmental issues. An inaugural winner of the D&AD white pencil for his work on the world’s most sustainable typeface he is also behind the multi D&AD pencil and Cannes lion winning ‘Black Plaque Project’, which seeks to address the issue of posthumous prejudice in Britain. www.andylockley.com

    The Liberty Guild is an invitation-only association of Cannes Lion winning independent creative and strategic talent. It isn’t an agency, it’s a guild. A fully scalable, global alternative to the traditional advertising agency model and winner of the 2021 Drum Business Award Grand Prix. The Liberty Guild was awarded B-Certification in 2022 in recognition of its positive impact and ethical approach to its staff, partners, clients, collaborators, the community and the environment. In my role as Creative Partner of the Guild, I work with its founder and CEO to lead the most awarded, most experienced, most versatile and largest creative department in the world.

    Havas was the first major UK advertising agency to achieve B Corporation certification. B Corps are a new kind of business that balance purpose and profit. As Creative Partner I worked with some of the agency’s largest, most influential and most ambitious client partners to help make their mark on culture. In 18 months with Havas my work was shortlisted for 61 internationally recognised awards and won 34 (including 3 Cannes Lions and 3 D&AD pencils). This was the first gold lion Havas London has won and the most awards it has ever won in a single award season.
