About me

Editor for commercials, short and feature films, documentaries, music videos and live video performance for artists, musicians and events. I have a high level of technical understanding and a passion for moving image. As well as my excellent visual storytelling skills and a passion for cutting I am able to interpret a client’s creative vision whilst contributing ideas of my own to the project. I'm a great storyteller. I take care to make sure every part of a film is saying something and every cut is moving the story forward. I've got excellent technical understanding and can learn new skills quickly. Always keen for a challenge, I enjoy finding creative solutions for any new project that comes my way. I cut on Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro. Previous work has included Youtube, Walt Disney World, Vauxhall, Nissan and Vodafone and I have worked on TV programmes for channels including BBC, C4, ITV2 and Discovery. Previously I've worked for renowned commercials editors Sue Moles Editing for several years and further back for ENVY, one of the UK's leading Post Production houses. Where duties alongside editing also included liaising with production companies, agencies and post houses and handling offline workflows and delivery. Here are some testimonials from directors/producers I worked with : Lawrence Barraclough, Director, Up Close Films "Andy is one of the very few editors I trust completely. He, not only follows a brief to the letter, but brings so much else to whatever project he is working on. He has technical skills and creativity in abundance and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to experience what it is like to work with a real professional." Kate Myers, Producer, HERO Media "Andy is an exceptional editor who works across the genres. He has a rare combination of speed, creativity, technical nous and storytelling. Influenced by fine art, some of Andy’s most interesting work plays with layers of multi-media to unique effect. He takes inspiration from music, film, architecture, design and more and this keeps his work fresh. Andy is growing in strength as a director and his editing background has given him a strong foundation to build on. I highly recommend him."
