I am an experienced Graphic Designer, having worked in the creative industry for the past 13 years, in more recent years as a Senior Graphic Designer.
Born in the north of Manchester, I have always had a keen interest and desire to create. This started at a young age with cartoon characters and clay model characters. At school, my love of art developed and this led me to study a BTEC National Diploma in Graphic Design at college. During this time, I developed an interest in stop motion animation and I later went on to complete a degree in Moving Image Design, in which stop motion animation was a focus.
However after university, my career led me into the Graphic Design Industry, where I have remained. During this time, I have gained a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise. Throughout my career, I have also held a personal commitment and responsibility for my professional development, seeking out new challenges and training opportunities (both through my employers and personally). This has kept me at the forefront of the industry.
Projects
- Quantum4Quantum 4 are a technical retail design agency whom WDC Creative collaborated on a variety of retail design projects. I worked on several projects under employment at WDC Creative, including graphic support for their exhibition stands at the last 2 years 'Euroshop Retail Trade Fair' events. The 2018 stand involved creating a process journey map which I visualised as a tube map. The 2019 stand was accompanied by additional design material including a handout printed on 100% recycled paper and
- ASICS Paris, Glass Manifestation GraphicUnder employment at WDC Creative, the brief was to create a visual graphic for a central glass manifestation on the 2nd floor located adjacent to the main entrance of an ASICS store in Paris. I created a memorable moment from ASICS sports history when Finnish long distance runner 'Lasse Virén' won the gold medal for the 10,000 meters at the 1976 Olympics wearing iconic (ASICS) Onitsuka Tiger running shoes.
