About me
I am a conceptual thinker who loves creative problem solving. I love textiles and tapestry weaving as much as I love typography and design. My interests are broad and span a range of disciplines and I thrive off of being able to make connections between seemingly disparate subjects. I am resourceful, hardworking, curious and open to challenges. A multidisciplinary practice appeals greatly to me as I love a challenge and am always eager and excited to learn more.

After my internship ended, I remained at the Whitechapel Gallery in a short- term freelance role. I art directed and designed print-ready artwork for a booklet sold in conjunction with the archive exhibition, ‘Stephen Willats: Concerning Our Present Way of Living’ as part of the Spring 2014 exhibitions programme.

I assisted the design and production manager in all aspects of design and print production. I joined the gallery at a very busy time as the installation of the new seasonal exhibitions coincided with the annual London Arts Book Fair. I was keen to contribute to the team effort and I did this by helping to set up the space, installed outdoor posters, prepared and distributed exhibitor passes and made final changes to the floor plan. I was good at managing situations as I focused on regular communication with the team and utilised my organisational skills to stay on top of the workload. As I was often working on a number of tasks simultaneously I would update my supervisor on my progress, particularly if I were under pressure. By prioritising the most urgent tasks and using a planner to manage daily and long term tasks, I would achieve what I set out to finish by being aware of the timescales I needed to meet. The design of the quarterly season guide took place over a period of weeks and I relied on information from different departments that was often changing, whilst also working to tight deadlines and time pressure from short-term tasks. This included updating signage and interpretation panels, creating print ready artwork for outdoor advertising, leaflets, business cards, postcards, education packs, event flyers and other publicity items for the gallery, all according to the brand guidelines.
