- Digital FlagDigital flag [reimagining national identity in a post-digital context] is one part of my ongoing visual explorations, with which I am questioning the static representations of national identity that are at odds with our fluid global society. - Part of my project as a postgraduate student in MDes Communication Design at Glasgow School of Art.
- Dobri BeerDobri is beer packaging project in collaboration with Miltos Bottis. I was asked to create a series of illustrations that would be screeprinted on the labels. Fresh and strong IPAs, true to the nature of homebrewing. With very fresh and distinctive flavours on the hops, Dobri’s label had to follow the same direction. Bold and clear typography followed by a layer of fluorescent brush illustrations according to the flavour. Creative Direction Miltos Bottis — Photography Christos Kotsinis
- Visual Echo: a Greek Packaging Paradigm (Souvenir)Visual Echo: a Greek packaging paradigm, is a self-initiated research project for my BA Thesis. It explores possible communal visual principles within the Greek packaging design of the period 1930-1960 that could be distilled and constitute a certain typology. It is a multidisciplinary project focusing specifically on Greek Packaging Design after reviewing 200 packaging items collected by E.L.I.A. [The Hellenic Literary & Historical Archive]. The goal was to identify and codify the visual elements that are interpreted as “Greek”, and then, based on my findings, design objects. Finally the design outcomes created were a publication and a conceptual 3d puzzle, a Souvenir. Souvenir Based on the findings of my research and inspired by the principles analyzed in the Sample Book I designed a conceptual 3d puzzle – souvenir. The puzzle consists of a number of cubes, each side of the cube matches to one edition, meaning the visualization of each side corresponds to the visual element analysed in each edition. The main idea is to take back home an essence of your visit to Greece. You can unfold it, experiment & combine the cube-houses on the map and each time create a completely unique version of your own “codified” Greek image. A variety of different techniques were used in my design process such as silkscreen, linocut, decoupage, stamp and vinyl. You can follow the process in Research Blog and the whole Project here. Visual Echo was awarded and exhibited in the Benaki Museum of Athens (Design Actions 2015 | grdesign) Supervisor: Antonaki Katerina Photography: Dimitra Gkionte

Publication The research findings were presented in a publication, in the form of a Sample Book bound by a hanger, under the title “visual echo” which consists of six different issues. Each issue is my critical reflection on my research and refers to one of the six categories defined during my research process. The “sample book” analyses the semantic, illustrative and synthetic visual elements that could be understood as “Greek” features, and could constitute an initial step towards defining a certain typology. - Visual ExperimentationsThe following installation is the outcome of a collaboration with Miltos Bottis, during a workshop at Graphic Design Festival of Scotland 2017, that was conducted by Studio Dumbar. We were given a sound message that we had to decipher and create a response by designing symbols, patterns and moving image.
- Marbling NotebooksBlack Swans - Pink Rabbits - Crystal Blue Persuation Marbling Notebooks is a personal project aiming to experiment by combining two beloved techniques, Marbling & Silkscreen. Marbled papers with screen-printed lyrics & illustrations on top are then binded into limited series of unique notebooks. Each series is color themed & inspired by a different themed song. The techniques used to marble the papers varied from the traditional Ebru using Carageenan mix to Marbling inks and the illustration was screenprinted on the cover. Each sketchbook is completely unique. Paper marbling / Screen printing 'Merit' EBGE : Greek Graphic Design and Illustration Awards 2015
