About me
Anisa is a creative producer living and working in Birmingham. She set up her first social enterprise aged 15 and in 2012 was awarded the British Empire Medal in the Queen’s Brithday Honors list for services to education and young people through the work of her most recent social enterprise, Beatfreeks. Anisa’s Sky Academy Arts Scholarship project, “Learn and Build” (LAB) will provide space, both physical and mental, for an eco-system of young creative innovators including social entrepreneurs, activists and artists to sprint work in an agile environment, culminating in a multi-disciplinary 'Festival of Audacity'.
Projects
- BEATFREEKSAnisa is the Founder and CEO of Beatfreeks. BEATFREEKS IS AN ARTS ORGANISATION SUPPORTING YOUNG, CREATIVE PEOPLE TO DO WHAT THEY LOVE. We're a social enterprise, which means we use our resources and innovation to address social issues and benefit communities. Our number one aim is providing platforms for growth and expression to young people. Our mission is to develop people and spaces through creativity. We want to create a better world through more equipped, engaged, empowered young people
- Change24Anisa is founder of Change24 We believe that every individual has unlimited potential to create change on a local and global scale. We want to encourage young people to IMAGINE social change and ACT through effective social campaigning, to IMPACT on self, community and the wider world. Through interactive, holistic and participant directed training and direct social action, we want young people to be inspired and ‘inpowered' to become active citizens - at home, in their community, and at work. We are a social enterprise: we believe that social enterprise means embedding social objectives into the very fabric of our business.
