I'm a British freelance writer and editor, presently based in San Francisco.
After leaving my home town of Manchester, England, I spent several years working as an editor and writer in London, before I migrated to Australia. I relocated again in 2018, and I now write features, fiction and digital content from San Francisco.
My writing about travel, food, history and culture has been published by BBC Travel, CNN, The Independent, Rough Guides, The Telegraph, and more. I'm also an author for Lonely Planet’s best-selling travel guidebooks.
Formerly a Digital Editor and Web Copywriter for global travel brand Lonely Planet, I have a strong track record of building bespoke content plans and writing copy to drive traffic to transactional spaces.
Projects
- TravelSupermarket AppI worked with British holiday experts TravelSupermarket on their iOS app, which puts price comparisons for holidays, flights, hotels and travel insurance in the palm of users’ hands. The app needed crisp, clear instructions and upbeat onboarding copy throughout. For users, it's a clean, intuitive experience to access money-saving deals on travel.
