BA(Hons) Music BusinessBirmingham City University
- Birmingham, United Kingdom
During this 2-year accelerated degree, I studied modules within a variety of disciplines, including but not limited to Music Marketing, Music Law, e-Commerce, Project Management and Publishing & Intellectual Property. My Final Major Project focused on artist management, involving managing a local band. The project involved conducting market research, creating social media content, managing royalty collection and synchronisation opportunities and developing a branding strategy, amongst other activities. I completed the project over a three-month period with little supervision and worked with a number of professionals in the creative industries. The course has developed my understanding of the music industry and the relationships between different roles.
I developed numerous transferable skills whilst studying on this course, including written and verbal communication skills, teamwork, organisation and perseverance. The course also required me to deliver numerous presentations, so I have developed my presentation skills to a high standard. I also developed my IT skills and I now have a great knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google programs.
