About me
I am a trilingual PhD researcher, fluent in Italian, English, and French, currently pursuing my doctorate at both the University of Edinburgh and the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. My research focuses on the intersection of trauma and gender studies. My academic journey spans five degrees from some of the most prestigious universities in the world, qualifying me as a researcher, critic, and writer.
My expertise encompasses a rich cultural and literary landscape, including classics, English, French, Italian, and comparative literature, along with deep engagement in film and theatre. Proficient in critical analysis, I excel in comprehending and interpreting literary and multimedia texts—an asset in my freelance career as a cultural journalist and critic. I've collaborated with diverse magazines and contributed as a critic at numerous cultural festivals, thriving under pressure and tight deadlines.
I am driven by initiative, collaboration, and teamwork, actively fostering ideas and forging partnerships. My journalism proficiency extends to mastering social media, analytics, and digital skills, crafting impactful content tailored to engage a broad audience. I have extensive experience in feature writing, editing, commissioning and planning editorials across digital and print, and a digital skill set in social media, SEO strategy, data visualisation and short-form video.
My academic pursuits also encompass two MFAs in creative writing and screenwriting, specializing in documentary writing under the mentorship of Alina Marazzi. Currently, I am sharpening my directing and writing skills through a Certificate program at the NFTS in London, collaborating with top contemporary producers and filmmakers. My storytelling prowess, coupled with adept image narration, fuels my expanding network of creative collaborations in freelance documentary filmmaking and scriptwriting.
