● In charge of designing a large portion of the print studio’s sample collection (70-120 samples delivered per season).
● Sample designing includes:
○ Responsible for conducting research and conceptualising themes for each new collection. Vintage buying, archive research.
○ Painting (watercolour, ink, acrylic), drawing, film photography, digital editing, digital artwork creation.
○ Production of samples (screen-printing, dying techniques, silk painting, embellishment, intricate pieced work, hand sublimation etc.).
○ Coordinating with manufacturers, artisans and other designers.
● Responding to diverse commissions from international high-end fashion houses to high-street brands.
● Efficiently managing the design calendars and meeting deadlines.
● Occasional marketing responsibilities include business trips to New York, Stockholm and Paris to meet buyers, showcase the collection, exhibit at trade shows (PV) and discuss clients’ design needs.
