About me

I'm a UX designer who creates solutions to make real people's lives easier based on data-driven insights, I’ve always had a desire to help people get information in accessible ways. That path started out in journalism, moved into digital content & product marketing before bringing me to UX Design. I'm constantly learning, about people and technology, and figuring out better ways to understand people and the way they interact with all the different touch points they meet in their journeys. When I'm not waking up at 4am to scribble down ideas on post-its or fiddling with code, I'm usually hiking in the woods somewhere or climbing a volcano and then writing about it.

  Future Fashion - WestfieldFashion is one of the key marketing pillars of Westfield UK. While working as the UK Digital Content Manager, I led the Spring/Summer 2012 Digital Marketing campaign, bringing together technology and fashion. Working with SAINT, a creative digital agency in the UK, we brought in the first 130" touchscreen into a shopping centre, so shoppers could create life size mood, boards, send them to themselves via email and create a shopping list.
• Building Blocks ToysDesigned a new e-commerce website for a toy store. Starting with research and competitive analysis, research synthesis through affinity mapping, I created wireframes and prototypes to show improvements to the UI based on insights.
• Travel with VirgilDesigned a service which would relieve stress for parents at airports, by keeping them up to date and informed of changes and keeping children occupied and engaged in the journey. The solution included two products - a parents smartphone app and a children's tablet app, but also included physical artefacts as well as several players in the service design such as airline staff.
