About me
I am a commercially minded editor creating illustrated non-fiction books for the international market. I manage around 15–18 titles a year, aimed
at readers of all ages, covering practical art and craft, gardening, food
and drink, gift and children’s activity books. With excellent editorial and InDesign skills, a keen visual eye, and a detail-oriented approach, I have
a proven track record for delivering outstanding results on schedule
and to budget.

KEY SKILLS:
-PROJECT MANAGEMENT Handling the growth of a book from the commissioning stage, assessing submitted text, budgeting and scheduling, flatplanning, working with feelance editors, designers, illustrators, and photographers, through to the final hand-over to production. Managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, as well as trouble-shooting problems. Conducting picture research and running photo shoots when necessary. Using backlist titles to create new books and formats.
-COLLABORATION Overseeing a team of freelancers. I brief my colleagues carefully and connect with them often, so they are aware of the tasks required to complete a job on time and on budget, and provide them with regular feedback and support. I value those that I collaborate with and have built strong working relationships with both authors and freelancers.
-CREATING SALES MATERIAL Directing the production of blads to ensure that both the aesthetic and the content is up to the imprint’s high standard, regularly liaising with the sales and rights departments and the publisher. Writing content for AIs and book jackets.
