I am an Events Management graduate with a variety of professional experience in events production, management and coordination within fashion, arts and culture organisations. I am a creative, logical thinker and I thrive in roles which allow me to produce creative ideas and find practical solutions. As Event Planner I work within the Delivery Team at Bishopsgate Institute and I am responsible for the management of the venue hire arm of the company, 230 Bishopsgate. I work alongside the Head Of Delivery to manage all staffing and building requirements for our commercial hires, and I manage a small team that consists of a Delivery Assistant and Events Assistant. As a team we work on all elements of event sales and delivery from enquiry stage to the live event, including conducting site visits and attending networking events to increase our client reach. I create and manage relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure we are offering a seamless event planning process and representing the venue at all times. As part of my roles as Event Planner I am responsible for the management of budgets and monitoring venue hire income.
As Events Assistant I worked on all commercial hire events at Whitechapel Gallery in both studio and exhibitions spaces with responsibility for a portion of all events. I was involved in and took ownership of all event processes from sales and enquiries to live events i.e budgets, digital marketing and promotional strategy for the financial year. I worked with clients from the enquiry stage, coordinating and conducting site visits, to event delivery, helping to realise their vision. This process included; liaising with internal departments, suppliers, and the client to ensure good communication and smooth running. I worked hard within my role to develop and maintain strong relationships to ensure that a supportive and collaborative attitude ran through all of our processes, and to develop effective business processes that increased venue sales.
