Anna Isabelle ‘Sai’ Villafuerte is a writer and photographer from the Philippines with nearly five years of experience in the publishing industry. She studied her BSc in International Politics at City, University of London where she graduated with first-class honours (summa cum laude). She is currently reading for an MPhil in Development Studies at the University of Oxford. Sai’s bachelor’s thesis focused on the role of the Philippine state in the rise of private housing bonds. Her research interests broadly focus on institutional innovation and human capital development in East and Southeast Asia. For her MPhil thesis, she hopes to look at the role of digital technologies in the development of creative industries in the Philippines. Additionally, Sai's writing interests span across a variety of disciplines - from politics to the visual arts. With her experience in numerous areas, including news, non-profits and marketing, Sai is seeking for opportunities within research institutions as well as the publishing industry where she can utilise her skills in strategic and creative thinking.Locked Pro Plan feature
