I believe that when we are genuinely excited by our work, we are able to make more of a positive impact - on those around us and on the world at large. This is my way of 'making a difference' and I like to help others to find theirs.
As a career coach, I have a dual focus of both reflection and action. I help my clients understand themselves better by looking inwards at their strengths, values and motivators - as well as looking outwards to discover what new career possibilities are out there for them. My approach is warm and encouraging, helping my clients build their confidence, while also giving a gentle push when needed and offering accountability to make sure change happens.
As well as working with private career change clients, I am a coach with Careershifters and lead their flagship career change course, the Launch Pad, and other online courses. I also coach people experiencing redundancy through their career transition with LHH.
I was qualified as a Co-Active Coach with CTI and also have a postgraduate qualification in Career Coaching with Distinction, as well as being an Advanced Certified Careershifters and Fireworks Coach. I am also a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
I have been described as "naturally hosty". I take that to mean that I have a talent for connecting with people and helping them feel at home. Also, that I make a damn good cup of tea.
Things I get excited about: innovation (especially when it solves a social issue), mindfulness, wellbeing, sustainability, positive psychology, old scratchy Blues music. I'm a long-term meditator and find my practice helps me to be fully present with my clients, as well as in the rest of my life.
