I’m a freelance features journalist, copy editor, copywriter and branding specialist based in Mexico City, where I work with branding agency Savvy Studio, among other projects. Recent projects for Savvy have included re-branding and copy writing for luxury minimalist clothing label Handvaerk; branding creative direction for artisanal Mexican tiling specialist Tata Mosaicos, who architect Frida Escobedo chose to use in Aesop's New York store; and branding creative direction and copy writing for high-end bed linen company Lay. Other recent projects have included branded content for Spotify and Atlantic Re:think, the content marketing of The Atlantic.
Prior to this I was based in Brooklyn, New York, and London, UK, and finally Sydney, Australia, a place I still call home. I have an M.A. in Journalism at Columbia University, where I specialized in art, architecture and culture.
Projects
- Masa GalleryMasa is a design platform and gallery in Mexico City that has featured work by Jose Dávila, Frida Escobedo, EWE Studio, Pedro Reyes and Tezontle Studio, among others. At Savvy, I assisted in conceptualizing the story behind Masa Gallery for its branding identity, using experimental architectural schools and radical art projects from around the world as inspiration.
- ProxyCo GalleryPROXYCO presents the works of emerging and mid-career Latin American artists, specifically those with ties to Mexico and Colombia. At Savvy, I worked with a graphic designer to conceptualize, research and benchmark galleries, art institutions and cultural figures we could draw on for inspiration to create the design.

With a focus on arts & culture writing and how these areas intersect with politics and urban living, I complemented my journalism studies with classes in radical functionalism in Latin America and urban planning at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Preservation & Planning. I also reported an 8,000-word feature article on place branding in Mexico City.
