Annie Orfanidou was born and raised in Athens, Greece.
Since she was a little child, she developed an interest about writing. In her teenage years, discovered her father's vinyls and decided that music is going to be her destiny.
Studied Political Science and History in Panteion University (Athens,Greece) and at the same time, she started writing to various music sites such as Wildthing.gr and Stereoworld.gr. Also, she took Radio Production seminars hosted by the popular Greek radio producer Giorgo Floraki. During her studies, she got involved with the online radio station Musicsociety.gr, where she hosted a weekly radio show for two years. Then, Plissken Festival got in her way and as a member of Press&Promotion team, learned everything about festival activities, media promotion and the importance of working backstage.
2014 found her, writing in the newsite Popaganda.gr, where she managed to interview some important artists and bands such as Alan McGee, Public Service Broadcasting, Morcheeba, Chinawoman etc. Also, she hosted a weekly radio show in the online radio station Flippinradio.gr with indie/pop/shoegaze/post-punk sounds. Significant point in her career, remains the three-months promotion about the British band The Boxer Rebellion, their latest live album and their concert in Athens Greece. Furthemore, a month later contributed in the Winter edition of Plissken Festival-headliners were the rock/experimental band Swans and the electro/dance duo Simian Mobile Disco.
Between these moments, Annie continues to write down her thoughts, learn more about the music industry, go to gigs, dream and laugh.
And she strongly believes: You are what you listen to.
