blinkbox Music was Tesco’s free music streaming service. In just 12 months, the app was downloaded almost 2 million times with users streaming over 1 billion songs. The service went into administration in June 2015. Key Responsibilities: • To establish blinkbox Music as the most fun music-themed content publisher online by creating and curating engaging, relevant and shareable content • To develop the strategy and editorial calendar with key stakeholders and relevant teams in the business, ensuring a data and performance-driven approach • To manage the day-to-day implementation and optimisation of all content marketing activity across Social (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and G+) and CRM Channels (Email and Push Messaging) including copy writing and basic Photoshop • To work with Music and Product teams to ensure content is delivered at the right time to the right people for maximum impact Key Achievements: • Built a business case for, briefed agencies on and managed the development and build of a new blog (http://blog.blinkboxmusic.com) to ensure the business had an SEO-friendly, mobile-optimised channel with which to engage a digital-savvy casual pop fan who is as interested in the videos, outfits and dance routines as they are the songs themselves • Managed social activity during the sponsorship of UK Live Festivals, including #GetOnStage campaign which reached 7.6 million and organised talent interviews using up and coming presenter Luke Franks (now at The X Factor) • Increased the community size from 60k to 100k with a budget of less than £4k per month

The band, management and label all expressed their delight with the concept and results of the promotion • Plus: Organised a successful partnership with We Love Pop Magazine and trended worldwide with a Lawson takeover
Metropolis Group is the most successful independent recording, mastering, creative and production facility in Europe. • Founded the marketing department at Metropolis Studios and project managed all music releases on the newly launched record label • Managed and maintained all websites, blogs and social media channels to include briefing designers, writing & amending HTML code, copy writing and email marketing
• Provided continuous support to three senior marketing managers at Polydor Records to promote music releases in the UK. • Worked on a wide range of releases including Girls Aloud, The Saturdays, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Miley Cyrus, La Roux, The Automatic, Boyzone and Ronan Keating. • Tasks included: researching and sourcing merchandise, assisting at video shoots/photo shoots / TV ad shoots, liaising with designers for artwork, press ads etc (with creative input and including proof reading).

Group laboratory sessions improved experiment planning, data analysis and practical skills, as well as presentational skills (both oral and written). Business modules enhanced my commercial awareness and my desire to pursue a career in this industry, as well as an understanding of company structure and strategy.
