    Community Manager/ Social Media ManagerFAXI
    London, United KingdomFull Time
I came on board first as a community manager for this start up carpooling app; someone who would primarily engage with users of our smartphone apps Quickly, however, it became clear that in the startup environment you end up doing many different roles. I ended up taking over new business presentation duties as well as focusing on producing content for the business. I have produced videos, images and marketing material to engage the various communities. The new business presentations are key for investors and clients to get on board with the application and and help the business grow. During my time at FAXI, my technical proficiency with software such as Adobe creative suite, google analytics, google search console, and WordPress has grown exponentially As Community Manager, I have daily communication with our users to make sure their needs are met and any issues are resolved. I have been very analytical in this role and have been producing reports using google analytics to make sure we are hitting our goals.

    Social Media ManagerTwinfinite
     - London, United KingdomFull Time
In this position, I primarily ran and managed the various social media accounts across multiple platforms of the gaming and nerd culture site, Twinfinite. My key responsibilities included making sure that the news output was running smoothly, promoting and marketing key news stories correctly as well as running various polls, competitions, and feedback sessions. I also made sure members and followers within the Twinfinite community were satisfied with the product and I escalated any critical problems they had to the senior management of the company. I also made sure that big news stories within the industry were commented on, creating and producing various pictures and short videos (often for comedic effect), and creating buzz and excitement on the site by proxy. I also made sure during key events such as E3, Gamescom, and PSX that the community stayed up to date with the various news circulating. Combined with this, I also looked at our analytics daily to understand what drove engagement with our social media audience and what didn’t. I applied certain boosts to different news stories with the aim of creating buzz on the site. My work resulted in a dramatic increase in visitors since it’s social media accounts and helped the site increase its social media presence in the industry. This position taught me endless amounts of skills regarding social media recognition and audience connection and also demonstrated to me the importance of marketing in today’s vast landscape of social media.
