I am a writer and published author with 13 years experience in a broad range of freelance publishing roles. I've written mainly on the subjects of interiors, architecture, art, craft, fashion, design and lifestyle.
I am also the founding editor of Upcyclist.co.uk, an interior decor blog that celebrates restoration, repair and reuse. Upcyclist showcases the work of homeowners, designers and makers that sensitively renovate rooms, restyle vintage finds, repair furniture and repurpose materials.
In addition to my writing experience, I have a good eye for images, editorial design and layout. Most of my work to date has combined both the writing and visual aspects of content creation, particularly for my work at Archant Life, the Upcyclist blog and my two books, Upcyclist: Reclaimed and Remade Furniture, Lighting and Interiors (Prestel/Penguin Random House 2015) and Renovate Innovate: Reclaimed and Upcycled Homes (Prestel/Penguin Random House 2017).

- Introductory texts for Gift Wrapping Paper BooksI wrote introductory texts for 10 volumes of the Gift Wrapping Paper series of books by The Pepin Press. Each book contains 12 sheets of wrapping paper, with each volume inspired by a different art movement or design style. The texts comprised short histories of Paisley, 1920s Fancy Design, 1950s Abstract, Kimono, Arabian Designs, Turkish Designs, Psychedelic, Renaissance, Op Art and Art Nouveau, which were translated into eight languages.
