About me
Antonia Eugenie is a mixed media artist and curator working with video, photography, installation and performance for camera. Her predominant interest within curation sit within the avant-garde, contemporary feminist practices, installation, queer-art, live and performative art surrealism, film and photography. Her personal artistic practice is rooted in the themes of feminism, emotionality and psychology. The human body, tactility, haptic visuality and emotional response feature prominently within her pieces and are used as both aesthetic choices and also employed as mediums in their own right. Antonia Eugenie’s own work stems from a personally political place, lived experience often serves as a direct launchpad for many of her projects. Her interests include creating empathetic spaces, surrealism, nostalgia, neurodiversity, sexuality and the female nude. Antonia Eugenie also works as a freelance performance and event photographer, implementing her experimental style when possible. Instagram: @antoniaeugenieart

  • Omelette du Frottage
Omelette du FrottageMy position as Lead Curator at this exhibition and performance showcase involved me having to use my abilities to not only compile a successful performance aspect but also transform a classical theatre space (The Embassy Theatre, London) into a space appropriate for installation. I did this with a number of innovative ideas and very limited set/budget creating a surrealist inspired house/medical facility. During my time working on this showcase I was also the lead sound technician.
