I am a BAME LGBTQ+ artist who has roots in Mauritius, Ireland and England. Based in North London my practise primarily focuses on exploring race, gender and identity.

    Publications Responsible for developing Sadie Coles HQ publications programme in relation to distribution, e-shop development, digital and physical archive, book fairs participation and research, book awards, sales, maintaining and developing key relationships with publishers, supporting artists with self-published books, books storage, sourcing publications for exhibitions and setting up publishers' accounts. Publication highlights from 2019 include: - Doubled publication sales - Organised galleries participation in its first art book fairs: Offprint, Tate (May), I organised Laura Owens and Asha Schechter's participation at Offprint and Alexander Zevin book launch. For London Art Book Fair, Whitechapel Gallery (September) I arranged talks with Alvaro Barrington which coincided with his new publication GARVEY! and his first show at the gallery, GARVEY: SEX LOVE NURTURING FAMALAY. I also organised Sadie Coles HQ's participation in Dublin Art Book Fair, Temple Bar + Studio Gallery (November). - Over Charlie Fox's summer show, My Head is a Haunted House, I supported Charlie Fox with the creation of merchandise and supported Emily Schubert by selling her art works. Highlights from 2018 include: - Increase in bookshop sales and the implementation of the new e-bookshop and physical bookshop at the gallery. - Implemented first Christmas book sale and a summer flash sale where half the proceeds went to charity. Operations Supporting Head of Operations with the smooth running of the galleries. Particular areas of responsibility include liaising with building management companies, contracted parties, assist and resolve IT issue and monitoring expenses for gallery stocks. Operations highlights of 2019 include: - Developing a 1 year Gallery Assistant programme Further responsibilities include: - Saturday Gallery Assistant Manager, managing interns, invigilators and work experience staff. - Overseeing Gallery Assistant 1 year programme

    Course Representative: Liaised with student and course leader with the aim to improve students overall experience. Supported tutors in class discussions Final Major Project: Focussed on the migrant crisis and inspired by Mark Wallinger's 'State Britain', 2007, protest piece. Created an installation of 15+ pieces including barbed wire, screen prints, paper mache, letter press posters. Project Light Box: Developed a pitch with three other students for the redesign of Lightbox - a work space for student to collaborate, relax and keep informed about student union activities. Included a pop up bar and gallery space that was easily adaptable.     I have taken part in a series of commercial awareness seminars i have gained an award that acknowledges those who have become commercially aware. Commercial awareness has allowed me to better understand the need for me to look at the way in which commercial contracts work. Given me key insight in the commercial structure today and is helping me understand more and more about the value of commercialism.

    Gaining key skills in using the Lexis Law database. Bettered my knowledge on how to surf Lexis Law more efficiently in order to find relevant articles, statute and case materials.
