About me
Anyango brings a wealth of experience to the table, having spent 12 years working in editorial, production, and consultancy within the fashion industry. Throughout her career, she has excelled in both creative and strategic roles, working as a Style Curator and Creative Director. Her journey began in London (2012), where she honed her skills across various roles, from junior stylist to producer and creative conceptualiser. This breadth of experience and creativity has developed, along with her responsibilities, as she took on the roles of Shoot Producer and E-commerce Visual Director. During her time in London, she crossed over to the music industry, conceptualising eye-catching looks for music videos of C-Boy, Elle Mak, and award-winning AFRIMA artist Hazel Mak. Anchored in the firm belief that fashion goes beyond the aesthetic and serves as an authentic form of expression; this belief has guided her entire career and allowed her to create collaborative projects such as African Pearl and BLACK GIRL MAGIC, she is currently co-developing on a fashion editorial style NFT project aimed at creating awareness of Multiple Sclerosis in Africa and the MENA region. Her work is found and published in Imirage, 5’ ELEVEN MAGAZINE, ELEGANT Magazine, ELLEMENTS Magazine, AFROSTYLE Magazine, Bevie, ASBO Magazine, Trendy Magazine, Pump Magazine and Spell Magazine. Anyango is a Co-founder and Creative Director of THRD i a Kenyan based Fashion Pr and Cultural curation platform that is gearing up to cultivate a varied and robust network of African creatives that continue to produce contemporary and artistically stunning cultural experiences. Social Impact and Advocacy: Beyond fashion, Anyango is a passionate advocate for social impact storytelling. She is the Co-founder and Creative Director of Rethread, a groundbreaking Kenyan initiative that uses fashion and visual storytelling to combat SGBV (Sexual and Gender-Based Violence), advocate for change, challenge societal norms and empower survivors. Select Brands Anyango has worked with: A-Jane, Aloe, AM:PM London, Christoph Ritter Studio, DSTV Africa, Eliza London, Josephine Bloom, Justine Garner, Kai Collective, Karen Wright Salon, Linus Leonardsson, Majekal Regalia, Meen Clothing, Milgo Awad, Nicole Quadrio, Olisa Kenya, Piferi, Rue Agthonis, Sebastian Martin Couture, Sweet Lime Juice London, Taro Collection.
