About me
Grown in the Scottish countryside, but currently planted in London, I love to explore ways humans and the rest of nature can coexist harmoniously - whether it's through biodiversity conservation, hiking the beautiful outdoors, or working on impact-led products and initiatives. šŸ’” I love to use the power of storytelling and the often weird yet wonderfully connective world of Social to drive forward initiatives that matter. šŸŒ For the past 6+ years, I've worked with brands that align with my passion and values, from sports nutrition and wellness to sustainable fashion. This summer I committed to learn more about the climate crisis in the context of the world of business. I completed the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) course in Business Sustainability Management. I love the term ā€˜collective individualismā€™ in this context because, to me, it encapsulates the need for both individual action and Community; one person does have the power to make a difference, but lots of people together have the power to create change on a scale limited only by our imagination.šŸ’« My ambition is to create meaningful communication and nurture communities that will inspire, entertain and encourage positive change. At Stella McCartney, my responsibilities included: ā€¢ Interim Head of Social, liaising directly with founder Stella McCartney and Marketing Director, and managing a Social Media Assistant. ā€¢ Ownership of social media processes, content calendar, copy, reporting, layout approvals and release with senior stakeholders. ā€¢ Work with Meta, TikTok, Dash Hudson and other key external partners on new tools and reporting capabilities. ā€¢ Syndication of social content globally, with the support of local teams, and with the SMC Kids and SMC Beauty accounts.
