About me
I have more than six years experience delivering and designing communication plans, with a strong focus on engaging diversity and inclusion strategies targeting the workforce, volunteers as well as the general public. Following a productive six months project managing National Inclusion Week at Inclusive Employers, I am seeking new opportunities.

    My role within the business was to increase its reach and impact. This included: Communications: creating and publicising a wide range of: online, print and broadcast material. National Inclusion Week: a campaign run and owned by Inclusive Employers, which was sponsored by media giant Sky in 2018. The Week is an annual opportunity to raise awareness of inclusion in the workplace and is Inclusive Employer’s biggest marketing opportunity. This year over 750 organisations took part with a combined reach of well over one million employees. Consultancy: providing specialist but practical inclusion and diversity expertise and solutions to employers across different sectors.

    A cross-functional role which helped ensure a more collaborative approach to diversity in a complex organisation. Four key areas of work were: Recruitment of voters, Party members and staff via: speechwriting, digital communications and events across the country, as well as serving as the main point of contact to all internal and external/media communications in relation to diversity and candidates, including crisis communications. Development of members into campaigners and candidates via: training, skills exchanges and mentoring, with a focus on empowering and onboarding the 60,000 new members who had joined since May 2015, especially by identifying and addressing barriers to participation. Electing under-represented groups by implementing a strategic programme of community outreach and engagement in key seats, including a number where University voters were to winning. Advising and pitching to Party Leaders and other senior figures to develop and fund the party's diversity messaging and engagement strategy as well as lead on implementation, such as during the European Referendum and 2017 General Election. Other work areas included: - Developing networks and reporting to a number of committees to gain buy in for support and programs - Ensuring sufficient approved candidates stand in every election above Council and prepare and inspire diverse candidates for selection in winnable seats - Project managing a review to identify barriers faced by BAME members or supporters - Line managing four members of staff, including one focussing on youth engagement
