During my vacation scheme at Goodwin I joined the tech & life sciences team where I was able to gain an insight into the inner workings of a legal firm. Although on the tech team, I also had the opportunity to understand the firm’s key practice areas: real estate, finance, private equity and tech & life sciences. Whilst at Goodwin I: - Helped draft documents for deals - Received talks from the firm’s partners - Worked with the other vacation scheme students to tackle different hypothetical legal scenarios - Had one to one discussions with some of the firm’s associates and partners
